On November 27, 2025, the Vietnam and Regional University Quality Ranking and Benchmarking System (UPM) released its evaluation results for higher education institutions. Van Hien University received the prestigious UPM 3-Star Plus rating, representing a key milestone in its ongoing pursuit of excellence and international integration.

This accolade confirms the University's adherence to UPM's comprehensive assessment criteria, demonstrating robust governance, academic distinction, and a forward-thinking strategy for sustainable development amid the Industry 4.0 transformation in higher education.

UPM: A Leading Benchmark for University Quality

University Performance Metrics (UPM) is a benchmarking system developed by experts from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, under the National Educational Science Program sponsored by Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training. It is now managed by the UPM Innovation Institute, part of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.

UPM evaluates over 100 higher education institutions and programs across 12 countries, including Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), and the United States.
